TVU Powers Groundbreaking 4K Live Broadcast of Inaugural World Audio-Visual Summit in India

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA — May 12 — The first World Audio-Visual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES 2025) was held from May 1-4, 2025, at Mumbai’s Jio World Convention Center. This flagship international conference hosted by the Indian government attracted over 10,000 delegates from more than 90 countries. Prime Minister Modi attended the opening ceremony, highlighting WAVES as a platform for integrating culture, technology, and creativity to position India as a global media and entertainment hub.

Doordarshan (DD), India’s national public broadcaster, served as the official media partner for the summit. Given the event’s significance, all key sessions required 4K live broadcasting capabilities. TVU was selected to provide comprehensive technical support based on its extensive experience with major international events.

The broadcasting team deployed multiple TVU One 4K live backpacks throughout the venue, capturing presentations, audience interactions, and panoramic views from strategic camera positions. All video signals were transmitted to TVU’s transceiver server at the New Delhi production center, where the team performed real-time switching and delivered high-quality output to Doordarshan’s 4K channel and various digital platforms.

The TVU One 4K backpack demonstrated exceptional performance with its ISX multi-network aggregation protocol, intelligently combining 4G/5G, WiFi, and broadband networks to ensure reliable transmission even in challenging network environments. Its HEVC (H.265) encoding chip enabled stable transmission of 4K 60p HDR signals at 120Mbps with 4:2:2 10bit sampling, while the two-way IFB communication system facilitated coordination between venues and the director’s center.

This successful live broadcast showcased TVU’s technical capabilities in high-end event broadcasting while allowing global audiences to witness this landmark creative summit in real time.
