Conference on the modernization of telecommunications networks will hold in Uzbekistan

The Ministry of Information Technologies and Communications of Uzbekistan on November 30 will hold a conference on the modernization of telecommunications networks, the main trends in the development of IT technologies and their role in the development of the national economy, according to Podrobno.uz.

The event will be attended by state officials, representatives of the communications and information industries, operators and providers of Uzbekistan. At the conference, in particular, the report of JSC “Uzbektelecom” on the implementation of the instructions of the President of the country on reducing the price of Internet access and increasing the connection speed will be presented.

In the middle of November, many media outlets wrote that “the speed of the Internet in Uzbekistan will increase 10 times from December,” with reference to Uztelecom employee (JSC Uzbektelecom) Yunus Kamolov. In response, the company issued a not entirely substantive statement, in which it noted that everything goes according to the instructions of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, who “ordered to reduce prices for Internet access and increase the connection speed, bringing it to the level of CIS countries by 2020”.

It is assumed that it will be at this conference that the issues that have arisen among subscribers and the media regarding the development of Internet access in the country will be clarified. Uztelecom launched a telegram-bot, with which you can ask the company questions about the work done. Authors of the best questions will be invited to the conference.
