Blackmagic Video Assist 3.20 Update – Adds Blackmagic RAW Recording From Panasonic LUMIX S1II and S1IIE
Blackmagic Design has released a new firmware update for its popular Video Assist monitor/recorder lineup. The Blackmagic Video Assist 3.20 update brings Blackmagic RAW (BRAW) recording support to the Panasonic LUMIX S1II and S1IIE mirrorless cameras.
This update is compatible with the Blackmagic Video Assist 5” 12G HDR and the 7” 12G HDR models, offering filmmakers and content creators enhanced flexibility and image quality when shooting externally. By enabling BRAW recording, users can now benefit from increased post-production control, higher dynamic range, and efficient file sizes directly from their LUMIX cameras.
This move strengthens the integration between Panasonic’s full-frame mirrorless cameras and Blackmagic Design’s professional video tools, making the Video Assist an even more attractive option for hybrid shooters and cinematographers seeking professional codec support.
The update is available now as a free download from the Blackmagic Design website.
